COHUNA United won the toss in Northern District cricket at Murrabit and they elected to bat in a game that provided fluctuating fortunes.

The opening partnership was 157 in 29 overs. Chris Waterson played in the vee early and scored 75.

Josh Novoselek's wagon wheel was more varied as he compiled 79.

A mini slump saw it get to 6 for 207 but it then finished at 9 for 247. Daniel Cooke crawled his way to an unbeaten 42. Matt Micalef, Stewie Mason, Darcy Hetherington and Cameron Coulter all obtained two wickets.

Murrabit looked in big trouble when it was 3 for 17. Brent McKnight rescued things with a polished knock of 93. Jim Hirst was unbeaten on 27 and Terry Milliard made 18.

The total concluded at 8 for 181. Josh Novoselek was a maiden bowler at country week but took 3 for 32 on Saturday.

Batting first in the match against Barham Koondrook at Leitchville the home side got off to a flying start with Tyler Jones making 89 in only 30 overs.

He dominated partnerships with Matt Pollock, Matt Hawken, Jason Keath and Brad Windridge to be out with the score on 4/148. Windridge kicked on with Kurt Brereton as the pair added 71 runs in 11 overs. Brereton was out for 40 including two sixes.

Windridge went on to post 57 not out to continue his great form from Country Week. He saw his side reach 5/236 from its 45 overs.

Danny Lolicato was his team's best bowler with a respectable 2/27 from nine good overs. Will Membrey, Brodie Filo and Sam Davis each took one wicket in tough conditions for bowlers.

Barham Koondrook got off to a poor start to be 2/15 in the 7th over before Warren Lolicato and Steve Farrant added 53 runs. Lolicato departed for 23 and when Windridge removed Farrant (41) and Brodie Filo in consecutive balls the visitors had slumped to 5/99.

Danny Lolicato, Matt Filo and Marsh offered some resistance but the home side ended up cleaning up the tail to leave Barham Koondrook all out for 147. Brad Windridge (3/19) and Matt Pollock (1/20) were the pick of the bowlers while Todd Gelletly mopped up the tail with 4/14 as Aiden Walton and Mick Young took one wicket each.

Nondies won the toss and elected to bat at home and were in early trouble with both openers dismissed with the score on 3.

Ryan Holmes was caught behind off Mick Bott and Clayton Holmes dismissed by Nick Farley.

Wickets fell at a quick pace and 5 Nondies batsmen were back in the shed with the score on only 15. Mick Bott bowled with good pace and bounce and took 4 of those.

Glen Oshea and Justin Gordon took the score to 35 before O'Shea was bowled by a good delivery by Matt Gibson, Wickets fell regularly throughout the rest of the innings with Sam O'Shea playing a very mature innings to be the last wicket to fall with the score on 89.

Best of the Wandella bowlers were Mick Bott 4/17 (9 overs), Matt Gibson 2/9 (6 overs) and Rohan Oliver 3/18 (6 overs).

Wandella then batted and were off to a belligerent from Isaac Saunders (45) & Brodie Farley (22) with the first wicket falling at 69, five quick wickets by the time the score was 95 before a 154 run partnership between Matt Gibson (96) and Mick Bott (72), with Gibson unlucky to not reach his century falling in the last over.

Wandella reached a total of 8/254 with best Nondies bowlers being Peter Doyle with 4/36 (8 overs) & Kansas Varker with 1/26 (8 overs).

B GRADE

Nondies batted first and made 120. Lachlan Harbinson made 35, Shane Holmes got 34 and nobody else made double figures. The pair added 79 for the 5th wicket

Dylan Robinson and Nathan O'Toole wrapped up the innings with 3 each.

BK were dismissed for 116.

Nathan O'Toole opened and got 20.

Michael McConnell made 37 not out batting at 4.

They were 7-114

The toss was won by Kerang-Fairley Town, Pyramid Hill were sent into bat and they scored 8/193 after 40 overs.

Evergreen veteran Daniel Bartels knocked up 52, Chris Cain made 51 and Steve Fawcett clubbed 30.

R. Barnes had the respectable figures of 3 for 36. Kerang-Fairley Town finished at 8/73 after 21.3 overs. Tobie Hastie top scored with 18, Trav Smith made 17 and Mark Higgs got 8. Grant Mooney took 3 for 7.

The match was won by Pyramid Hill by 120 Runs,

Mincha batted first against Cohuna United and they amassed a score of 6 for 181.

Steve Ralston made 55, Mick Distefano got 47 and Ian Harrison scored 29. Jordan White took 3 for 24. Cohuna United passed this score with one wicket down. Daniel Coates made 83 and Darren Hancock retired on 101.

You probably already know this as Darren rang most people in Northern Victoria. The score ended at 4 for 218. Kahn Taylor took 2 for 27.

Under 17s

Cohuna United batted against Nondies and they made 91. Jordan White (20), Bradley Griffiths (17) and Zac Poole (10) all looked good during their stays at the crease. Kansas Varker had the very impressive figures of 5 for 1 off 5 overs. Nondies are 0 for 36 after 7 overs.

Under 12s

The Under 12s cricket was at Leitchville on Sunday with Leitchville defeating Gunbower even though Gunbower made a big improvement with both batting and bowling.
